GRDXers,
Have you been hOme lately?
I’m not talking about “home” where you grew up, but the new Swiss watch making company hOme.
I stumbled onto this company through Google Alerts, one of my favorite sources of information. *You should check it out. You can set up an account to have alerts sent to you on specific topics so that way you receive an email as frequently or infrequently as you would like. It’s immensely useful.*
Anywho…
hOme Watches. I haven’t been able to find out much about hOme, however here is the information that their website provided…
A hOme away from home.
We wanted to take that feeling with us, and share it with our friends. So we did, two brothers and a couple of t-shirts. That was 12 years ago, we were kids.
We grew up: snowboarding, graphic design, travels, new friends and life’s experiences became ingredients. A third brother joined us while time kept feeding that simple idea: to offer a piece of hOme to everyone, even when your journey leads you to strange places.
Where and When became inspirations, and we knew we had to concentrate on the things you could take with you practically anywhere, because penguins can’t carry much on their backs. Yes that’s right, penguins. Somehow they got involved, and teddy bears too. Go figure. They got onboard along the journey from Switzerland to Canada. Now they just stick around. But this is another story altogether…oh wait, it’s not:
All this is a story about travelling in order to experience the meaning of the place we each choose to call hOme. It is a story about time and space, about small things and big ideas, and how going places affects you, even if it’s just down the street.
The door is open, welcome hOme.

A typical "G-Class"... Love this!
They currently offer three types of watches:
- According to the site, the C-Class is a classic watch that is a result of the conversations they had about what defines timelessness and how to give it a personal touch. Check out the C-Class here.
- The G-Class was inspired by their travels and the Swiss Railway Stations. Personally, I think this one is my favorite. It’s classy enough to wear in a professional setting, and so much fun that you can’ help by wear it when you go out. You will definitely want to tell people about this watch. Just my opinion. Check out my favorite watch from hOme.
- The R-Class is at first glance a big straightforward sports watch, but it has a twist. I just haven’t figured out the twist yet. Maybe you can.
I think this young fresh up and coming watch brand will be one to look out for in the near future – it’s a Swiss company after all… If you know anything related to the Swiss and their superb watch-making skills then you know why I say that.
To add a little fuel to their fire, they recently added former Swatch Vice President Klaus Peter Mager. He has over 15 years experience in the watch industry. Check out the article about the move HERE. I think you will like what they have to offer.
*Ohh, they also sell wallets, hats, t-shirts and belts. Great products, however I lean more towards their watches – but check those items out too!*
I’ll be patronizing them soon…
