First, let me say that I’m not a graphic designer. At least not by profession. My degree is not anywhere close to graphic design. But I’ve always been passably artistic (is that a real term?… It is today). In grade school I was always the 2nd or 3rd best “drawer” in the class… I’m still pretty proud of that, but I digress. I’ve always been a fan of art, I’ve always liked to draw; and while I’m not a professional graphic designer, I do dabble with creating logos and things for people.
As I continue to try to challenge my own creativity, one of the best resources that I’ve come across is the Graphic Design Blog (<– click it). If you frequent GRDX often, you may have seen Johnnie reference me (<– click it) pointing him to a post from the Graphic Design Blog. (By the way, my Twitter name is @WalkSays now, but I promise that is me he’s talking about… Honest.)
There is a ton of cool artwork (<– click it) to check out, as well as tips for graphic designers (and those of us trying our hand at graphic design). Go ahead and check it out. And when you get there, tell them I sent you… They know me… I’m kind of a big deal to them.
*Note: They don’t know me at Graphic Design Blog, nor am I any more of a big deal there than I am in Saudi Arabia. If you really tell them I sent you, you’ll get blank stares via email. So don’t.*
What do you think about the Graphic Design Blog? Have you found any other good resources for graphic designers? Did you even look? Leave your comments below in the Comments Section, or risk disappointing me.
Until next time…
