Hey folks – a few weeks ago I was contacted via e-mail regarding Rider Sandals (<–website). My initial inclination was, “it’s cold outside – sandals?” Seriously. But I took a look into it anyway and liked what I saw. In thinking about it, I do know a few cats who just seem to wear sandals religiously regardless of the season (although winter time leads to more “in-home” wearing). Plus – just to be fair – just because it’s cold in my part of the world, doesn’t mean it’s cold all over — Men should know about these sandals!
Full disclosure upfront, I wasn’t paid anything for this one – I just dig the product and thought it was worth sharing with everyone.
First thing first, Rider Sandals only cost about $20-$50 ($48 to be exact) depending on the model you go for. I know, I know – some may think a certain aspect of that is steep — but do you know what makes a good sandal? Comfort. That’s it. Sandals have to be some of the most functional shoes out there in the sense that what you wear not only has to look presentable, but these days – we expect comfort from the shoe. It’s why men wear them in the first place!
What makes the shoes so comfortable is the “technology” inside the shoe – specifically what’s be engineered in the sole. Rider offers up a nice selection for what can be found within their sandals. Straight from the horse’ mouth…
Backed by years of design and development, Rider sandals are comfortable, functional, and stylish … Rider is no longer a sandal for kicking back after playing hard … Rider has created a sophisticated and environmentally supportive process that delivers a superior line of technologically enhanced, and stylish sandals for men. Rider sandals feature several technologies to maximize the comfort, support, and aeration of each sandal.
Aerogel is Rider’s exclusive impact technology. It is formed by an internal gel support structure and flexible air columns, which distribute the impact forces from walking.
- Airphibius is a concept that was developed in Rider’s lab, and consists of a unique system that allows water to quickly drain away from your foot, and let air circulate in to allow your feet to dry at the same time.
- ArchFit is a key engineering element in which the anatomic contouring of the insole and outer sole are designed to support the arches of the foot, providing better stability and comfort.
- Air Flow technology solves comfort challenges. Designed to increase airflow circulation around the foot, the waffle-textured molded EVA insole minimizes impact, increases airflow circulation, and gives a comfortable massaging sensation.
- DryTraks is a resilient nylon mesh that allows water and air to circulate, while keeping your feet protected from the elements.
Rider produces three collections: After Sport, Beach, and Casual. Each collection was created to offer functionality and style while providing the comfort that Rider sandals are known for.
That’s not all either folks – they actually give you a peek behind the curtain of their sandal tech. It’s one of my favorite aspects of the company personally (I love “seeing what’s under the hood” if you know what I mean). CLICK THE PIC below to get an interactive walk-through through multiple features of their sandals…
Other than that – if you’re still itching for more things related to Rider – check out their Facebook page, Twitter profile or YouTube page/channel. While I haven’t personally test-driven a pair of their sandals, I’ve heard good things. From the looks of what was shared with me (you saw it all in this post) – I’ve now seen good things too. Now I just have to get my grubby little paws on a pair of these babies.
Do you like sandals? Do you own a pair of Rider Sandals? Care to share your opinion of them with those of us here at GRDX? Tell us anything that comes to your mind in the Comment Section below folks.
Peace and thanks for reading.
