Alright – I won’t pretend to be a “musical purist” or anything like that – for you all, no pomposity from this guy folks. I’d just like to introduce (some of) you to the sounds of one of my favorite Classical Musicians… of the few that I admittedly know about: famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
Check this out…
It’s one of my favorite pieces, and one that I’d wager you recognize.
Lifted straight from his bio on his website…
Mr. Ma is an exclusive Sony Classical artist, and his discography of over 75 albums (including more than 15 Grammy Award winners) reflects his wide-ranging interests. He has made several successful recordings that defy categorization…
He’s no joke in his field (in music in-general really). And don’t go thinking Mr. Ma lacks soul in his musical presentations. His most recent project, The Goat Rodeo Sessions, with “a dream team of string players — Edgar Meyer, Chris Thile, Stuart Duncan” is a quartet presence that proves he does…
But I’m not here to litter you with his history — I’m not even enough of an authority on his music to do that. What I really wanted for you to do was EXPLORE his music as the title of this post suggests. CLICK THE PIC below to be taken to a playlist of Yo-Yo Ma’s music on Grooveshark. I hope that you enjoy

So what did you think? Do you have any specific pieces of his that you enjoyed? Share the names of them with us in the Comment Section below.
Peace and thanks for reading.
