In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday yesterday – I thought I’d double-dose this week’s segment… and these Ladies are two of my favorites

Rashida’s Trivia Fact: Rashida is the younger daughter of Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton.

I don’t watch much TV these days, but when I do – Parks and Recreation is a given because… well… it’s f-in great! I do have two bonus reasons for watching the show though — these two.
Aubrey Plaza is a Wilmington, Delaware born beauty who I don’t think gets enough credit for her looks because of her deadpan humor. Haha – seriously – if you ever see her do her thing, it’s sort of like watching a live-action version of MTV’s classic animation Daria. I found this very recently released World of Warcraft commercial on her fan site (which features tons of great photos of her btw).
She’s like that all of the time with her roles actually – that particular clip was just so great, I figured I’d share it. I’ve honestly been “in love” with her since I first saw her on Scott Pilgrim back when it was in theaters. I’m not the only one that thinks she’s hot – rapper Drake (Yes – the “Best I Ever Had” singing rapper dude with Young Money) even famously tweeted his affinity towards the simple, but pretty Aubrey like a year ago (coincidence – I assure you).
But that doesn’t mean Rashida (fan site here) doesn’t have her fair share of fans too. Actor/Comedian/Rapper of growing popularity Donald Glover (Childish Gambino folks) spit out his affections towards Rashida in his song “Not Going Back”…
Ran into Rashida Jones, told me that she heard my song
When I called her mixed like the crowd at my last show
She said to write her somethin’ nice on the next track
But she cute, so I wrote her ass a whole rap…
I’m just saying – ever since I saw I Love You, Man – I had to find out more about her. Born in Los Angeles, Rashida is the beautiful product of a mixed couple of talented folks (her dad is African-American and her mom is Jewish). On top of being a great actress – she apparently inherited her dad’s musical talents and can play classical piano and sing and write songs (that are actually good) too. She’s been in a number of movies and TV Shows. She’s had guest vocals on a number of tracks, including works by Tupac, Mac Mall, and her dad – Quincy. Plus she even writes for a comic book she co-created called Frenemy of the State (my geek heart swoons)!
